Myriad Events Code of Conduct

The Short Version

Myriad is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), technology choices, level of technical knowledge, and choices related to masking, social distancing, or other measures to reduce risk of illness. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks, group discussions, social events, Twitter, or other online media. Event participants violating these rules may be asked to leave the Charrette at the discretion of the organizers.

Myriad is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone. Harassment includes:

  • Offensive verbal comments related to gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, level of technical knowledge, and choices related to masking, social distancing, or other measures to reduce risk of illness

  • Sexual images in public spaces

  • Deliberate intimidation

  • Stalking

  • Following

  • Harassing photography or recording

  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events

  • Inappropriate physical contact

  • Unwelcome sexual attention

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks, group discussions, social events, Twitter, or other online media associated with the event.

Participants who are asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a designated organizer immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, organizers may take action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expelling the offender from the event.

Organizers will help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement if requested, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your participation.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and event-related social events.
